If the sticker’s gone, measure the slab thickness (1-3/4″ for exterior-rated Therma-Tru, 1-3/8″ for interior), the jamb depth (4-9/16″ or 6-9/16″ for 2×4 or 2×6 walls), and the hinge count - three or four. • Hardware loosening repeatedly. The composite stile behind the latch bore can crush if over-torqued, especially on 1-3/8″ interior-rated units used in bathrooms. Once the screw threads strip the composite, the latchset won’t seat tight again without a bore repair or stile reinforcement.

Misalign it by 1/8 inch and the latch won’t seat, the weatherstrip gaps, and you’ve stripped hinge screws in composite that doesn’t forgive.
